You can't save free markets by socialism, I don't know where this idea ever came from. You save free markets by promoting free markets and sound money and balanced budgets. The whole reason why nobody wants to address the real problem is, we're spending a trillion dollars a year overseas running an empire, and it's coming to an end. This country is bankrupt, and we won't admit it. Eventually though, the dollar will go bust, and we will bring our troops home, and we will live within our means, but we ought to do it sensibly, rather than waiting for the collapse of the dollar, and this is what we're doing, we're on the verge of destroying our dollar. And then, you think we have problems now, problems then will be a lot worse, it'd look like the Weimar Republic, or a third world nation. And a lot of people know that, and they're scared to death, but we don't need to be making the problem worse by just propping up everything with more government programs, more inflation, and more helicopters, it won't work.

The only way the dollar fails to become the reserve currency is not based on what China or other countries do, it’s what we do from within. And spending too much money, putting ourselves in $31 trillion of debt, is a greater threat than Brazil using the yuan instead of the dollar.

Builders build and make dreams a reality, but this plan looks like a stretch because the country cannot afford to undertake massive new projects when the national debt is over $31 trillion, there are some interesting ideas here, but this is not the right time for bold plans that dream big. There’s no money left in Uncle Sam’s till to pay for big dreams and daring projects.

The House majority proved on their way out the door what we’ve known since day one — they put America last, from passing a $1.7 trillion spending bill that secures the borders of Middle East countries, but not our own, to two years of reckless spending that created historic inflation, liberal leaders in the House divided our Nation and put America on a path toward a recession that could very well cost millions of people their homes, their retirement, and their jobs.

When you look at where Democrats are spending money, they are spending money where Biden won in 2020, and the real problem here is why are we seeing these things? It is the policies and the actions that Democrats have taken — their overspending of $10 trillion, inflation, their attack on the energy industry which has brought gas prices up, and people are worried about home heating this winter.

Even in an age in which trillion dollar spending packages and are considered modest, the additional $20.4 billion the Biden Border Crisis has heaped onto the backs of American taxpayers is still staggering, $20.4 billion could address some very important needs of the American public, instead of covering the costs of the surge of illegal migration triggered by this administration’s policies.

I'm sorry that Republicans feel the government shouldn't work. I respectfully disagree. Government should work, the Trump head of the IRS told us last term that the amount of money collected by the IRS every year is a trillion dollars less than the amount that is due in taxes and that's because the IRS has been so historically underfunded.

It is paid for and far more by the amount of deficit reduction that we’re already on track for this year, like I said, we’re on track for $1.7 trillion in deficit reduction this year. That means, practically speaking, compared to the previous year, 1.7 trillion more dollars are coming into the Treasury than are going out.And we’re using a portion of that — a very small portion of it — to provide relief to middle-class families, consistent with the president’s plan.

Students in high-poverty schools that were remote for more than half of 2020-21 would be expected to see a 5% decline in average earnings over their career, given past relationships between test scores and earnings, that may not sound like much, but when calculating losses for all 50 million students in K-12 education in the U.S., it would amount to a $2 trillion decline in lifetime earnings.

Let me remind you again : I reduced the federal deficit, all the talk about the deficit from my Republican friends, I love it. I've reduced it $ 350 billion in my first year in office. An identifier is important for every single reason we can think of, it's important for the trillion dollar-plus federal budget, the voter registration ballots, the classes for English as a second language. I can't think of a way that data and information don't affect everyday life. For us to be rendered invisible data-wise, it's harming the community.

The reality is that the bill we voted on last week wasn't really about Ukrainian aid, ukrainian aid was a little bit of sugar on the larger medicine of a $ 1.5 trillion bill that nobody would actually want to go home and defend to the voters and to the taxpayers of America was well thought-out.

I mean, the whole thing is an abomination to this country, to spend $1.5 trillion, which is a 16 percent increase of the total of last year's budget and to go further in debt. You can pick out any number of these earmarks … with no offsets? It continues to amaze me.
