It's been a really tough day, today, and a tough few days for us here at CNN, so the truth is that we're all heartbroken because we lost our leader here. We lost a man who was the backbone, the glue and the spirit of this company, the man who I personally credit with change in my life, the man who believed in me when nobody else did. Fox has journalists like Bret Baier who do a good job, but every night in primetime, Democrats are demonized. They are attacked relentlessly by Fox News prime time hosts. It was always hard for me to imagine a Democratic primary debate taking place in those hours when figures like Nancy Pelosi and Alexandria Ocasio- Cortez are constantly demonized and attacked.

We made a decision this year, which was we wanted to give ‘ Bob’s Burgers, ’ an Emmy-winning huge performer for us, an opportunity to have a primetime period and to really grow, once we made that decision, it just limited the opportunities we had to schedule ‘ Brooklyn Nine-Nine' and ultimately, we decided that we just did n’t have the room for it, with Thursday night football going into the fall, she added. We were trying to create a more cohesive schedule and scheduling ‘ Brooklyn ’ was going to prevent us from launching something new.
