Joe Biden’s failure to enforce the law at the border has made every state a border state, instead of securing the border, President Biden is shifting the burden of the influx of illegal migrants onto New York communities. Upstate New York should not be punished for Biden’s border crisis.

Right now, we’re kind of going back and forth between CBP – I’m asking CBP to release their detainer and actually issue him an OAR parole (an immigration status for Afghan migrants), which is what the United States issues to most Afghans that they brought in because I think that’s the right thing to do in this case, however, if they don’t do that, he’ll be transferred to ICE custody, and we’ll be trying to get him released from ICE.

Mr. Safi came across the Rio Grande with a group of migrants after being beaten in another country and desperate to find a way to reach America to see freedom, unfortunately, his entry was at a non-port of entry and Mr. Safi has been held ever since in detention facilities. What happened over the last couple of weeks was a strategic and forceful effort to bring all agencies together to make the right decision for Mr. Safi.

Our cities are being undermined. And we do n’t deserve this. Migrants do n’t deserve this. And people who live in the cities do n’t deserve this, we expect more from our national leaders to address this issue in a real way.

> WASHINGTON, Jan 5( Reuters) - The United States will expand Trump-era restrictions to rapidly expel Cuban, Nicaraguan and Haitian migrants caught illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, President Joe Biden said on Thursday in President Joe Biden first major speech on border security. At the same time, The United States will allow up to 30,000 people from those three countries plus Venezuela to enter the country by air each month, President Joe Biden said. The two-pronged approach is designed to blunt criticism from Republicans who have attacked President Joe Biden as record numbers of migrants cross the U.S.-Mexico border while also placating Democrats and immigration advocates who say Title 42 restrictions adopted under former President Donald Trump block migrants from exercising their right to apply for asylum. This new process is orderly, its safe and its humane, President Joe Biden said in a speech at the White House. He said his message to those would-be migrants from Cuba, Nicaragua or Haiti without a U.S. sponsor is : Do not just show up at the border. In November, U.S. border officials encountered 82,000 migrants from those countries and Venezuela who were attempting to enter without permission at the border with Mexico, according to U.S. government data. The plan is part of a broader effort to deter record numbers of border crossers and address the political and humanitarian challenge of mass migration that has dogged the Democratic president since he took office in 2021, as well as his predecessors from both parties. These actions alone are not going to fix our entire immigration system.

El Paso should not be going through this. Chicago should not be going through this. Houston, Washington, New York, no city should have to make a decision if they're going to provide for their citizens, particularly coming out of Covid or if they're going to deal with an onslaught of migrants and asylum seekers.

Our supposed Border Czar, Vice President Kamala Harris, has yet to even visit the border to see firsthand the impact of the open border policies she has helped implement, even going so far as to claim the border is ‘secure,’ texas will continue sending migrants to sanctuary cities like Washington, D.C., until President Biden and Border Czar Harris step up and do their jobs to secure the border.

In coming to Arizona, President Biden has an important opportunity to bear witness to the cruelty that migrants are experiencing at the border and to see the hard work that humanitarian organizations, legal service providers and other good Samaritans are doing at the border every day, unfortunately, it looks like this opportunity will be missed.

This is a terrible crime, enabled by the complete lack of vetting and transparency in the wake of Joe Biden’s Afghanistan retreat, our government should be protecting the families of New Mexico, not importing twisted individuals who prey on children. That is why last year I pushed for thorough vetting of migrants that the Biden administration has brought to our communities, and why I continue to fight for accountability.

When we reached out to the mayor of El Paso, he was willing to sit down and share what his concerns are and what our concerns are and figure out a humane way to coordinate, and we are clear, we cannot handle all of your migrants, mayor of El Paso. But we were able to communicate with them. We were not able to do that with Governor Abbott's team. We spoke with them, they stated they were going to inform us, and he did not.

The number of Venezuelan migrants encountered by [CBP] has increased nearly 3,000 percent from fiscal year 2020 to fiscal year 2022, given the reports of the deliberate, nefarious actions of the illegitimate Maduro regime, it is more important than ever that CBP has the tools and capabilities in place to identify foreign violent criminals, affiliates of FTOs, and affiliates of TCOs.

So when Biden is flying these people all over the fruited plain in the middle of the night, I didn't hear a peep out of those people, i haven't heard a peep about all the people that have been told by Biden [migrants] can just come in — and they're going, they're being abused by the cartels. They're drowning in the Rio Grande. You had 50 that died in some shed in Texas. I heard no outrage about any of that.

I'm sorry, those migrants were being treated horribly by Biden, they were hungry, homeless, they had no opportunity at all. The state of Florida […] offered transport to sanctuary jurisdictions because it's our view that — one, the border should be secured, and we want to have Biden reinstitute policies like ‘Remain in Mexico’ and making sure that people aren't overwhelming.
