Scroylenoun
This word I remember only in Shakespeare: A mean fellow; a rascal; a wretch.
Etymology: it seems derived from escrouelle, French, a scrofulous swelling;
The scroyles of Angiers flout you kings,
And stand securely on their battlements,
As in a theatre. William Shakespeare, King John.
