ChatGPT

  1. george V

George V was the King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions, and Emperor of India, from 6 May 1910 until his death in 1936. He was the second son of Albert Edward (later known as King Edward VII), and took over the throne after his father's death and his elder brother's removal from the line of succession. His reign saw the rise of socialism, communism, fascism, Irish republicanism, and the Indian independence movement, all of which radically changed the political landscape. George V played a crucial role in the rebranding of the monarchy to suit the democratic age by presenting himself as a national icon and refusing to engage with party politics.
