enantiomorph, enantiomernoun
either one of a pair of compounds (crystals or molecules) that are mirror images on each other but are not identical
GCIDE
Enantiomernoun
either of a pair of optical isomers of a chemical substance whose molecules are mirror images of each other, i. e., are related to each other as a right-handed to a left-handed glove; -- meaningful only for structures which have internal asymmetry.
Wiktionary
enantiomernoun
One of a pair of stereoisomers that is the mirror image of the other, but may not be superimposed on this other stereoisomer. Almost always, a pair of enantiomers contain at least one chiral center, and a sample of either enantiomer will be optically active.

Enantiomer
In chemistry, an enantiomer (/ɪˈnænti.əmər, ɛ-, -oʊ-/ ih-NAN-tee-ə-mər; from Ancient Greek ἐνάντιος (enántios) 'opposite', and μέρος (méros) 'part') – also called optical isomer, antipode, or optical antipode – is one of two stereoisomers that are non-superposable onto their own mirror image. Enantiomers are much like one's right and left hands, when looking at the same face, they cannot be superposed onto each other. No amount of reorientation in three spatial dimensions will allow the four unique groups on the chiral carbon (see Chirality (chemistry)) to line up exactly. The number of stereoisomers a molecule has can be determined by the number of chiral carbons it has. Stereoisomers include both enantiomers and diastereomers. Diastereomers, like enantiomers, share the same molecular formula and are non-superposable onto each other however, they are not mirror images of each other.A molecule with chirality rotates plane-polarized light. A mixture of equal amounts of each enantiomer, a racemic mixture or a racemate, does not rotate light.

enantiomer
An enantiomer is one of a pair of molecules that are mirror images of each other. These are non-superimposable and are a type of stereoisomer which refers specifically to the spatial arrangement of atoms. Enantiomers are found in many organic substances and may exhibit different chemical reactions even though their structures are so closely related. In biochemistry, this can have significant implications as one enantiomer of a drug may work as intended while the other may have adverse side effects.

Enantiomer
In chemistry, an enantiomer is one of two stereoisomers that are mirror images of each other that are non-superposable, much as one's left and right hands are the same except for opposite orientation. Organic compounds that contain a chiral carbon usually have two non-superimposable structures. These two structures are mirror images of each other and are, thus, commonly called enantiomorphs Hence, optical isomerism is now commonly referred to as enantiomerism. Enantiopure compounds refer to samples having, within the limits of detection, molecules of only one chirality. Enantiomers have, when present in a symmetric environment, identical chemical and physical properties except for their ability to rotate plane-polarized light by equal amounts but in opposite directions. A mixture of equal parts of an optically active isomer and its enantiomer is termed racemic and has zero net rotation of plane-polarized light because the positive rotation of each form is exactly counteracted by the negative rotation of a one.
