Diadromnoun
The time in which any motion is performed; the time in which a pendulum performs its vibration.
Etymology: διαδϱομέω.
A gry is one tenth of a line, a line one tenth of one inch, an inch one tenth of a philosophical foot, a philosophical foot one third of a pendulum; whose diadroms, in the latitude of forty-five degrees, are each equal to one second of time, or a sixtieth of a minute. John Locke.
