  1. CLIPS

CLIPS is a public domain software tool for building expert systems. The name is an acronym for "C Language Integrated Production System." The syntax and name were inspired by Charles Forgy's OPS5. The first versions of CLIPS were developed starting in 1985 at NASA-Johnson Space Center (as an alternative for existing system ART*Inference) until the mid-1990s when the development group's responsibilities ceased to focus on expert system technology. The original name of the project was NASA's AI Language (NAIL). CLIPS is probably the most widely used expert system tool. CLIPS itself is written in C, extensions can be written in C, and CLIPS can be called from C. Its syntax resembles that of the programming language Lisp.CLIPS incorporates a complete object-oriented language for writing expert systems. COOL combines the programming paradigms of procedural, object oriented and logical (theorem proving) languages.

The shooter, Floyd Corkins, came into our building armed with a 9 mm pistol, two ammunition clips of 15 rounds in his front pocket, the rounds in the gun, and a box of 50 additional rounds, he also had 15 individually wrapped Chick-fil-A sandwiches. He was not puffing things up when he told the investigators that he intended ‘to kill as many people as [he] could.’ He shot our building manager, Leo Johnson, shattering the major bones of his left arm. Even after taking a bullet, Leo heroically tackled the shooter putting a stop to what would have been a mass murder. Corkins was later convicted of domestic terrorism in Washington, D.C.

I think that’s part of what makes The Tonight Show so special and unique, nobody else has The Tonight Show. To be able to use actual footage of Johnny Carson every night as the show these characters are creating and making every night, it really gives it authenticity … And for me, it was just an extra bonus of joy to go through these clips and pick them out. It was an embarrassment of riches. Most of them I have n’t even seen. A lot of them I remembered, but have n’t watched in 40 years. Not only do you see these guests again, but you can watch Johnny’s skill. Johnny Carson every night was just so good. Johnny Carson every night really set the standard.

  3. Riana Elyse Anderson:

We can read a description of the events. We live in a violent culture, and serving around these clips as entertainment only really makes us more violent. I don’t think the solution is ‘let’s all watch and gawk and stoke our outrage.’ We are outraged enough already without the added trauma of searing these images into our minds, you have to think about the toll that this takes on your humanity.

  4. Joe Rogan:

I'm making this video to talk about the most regretful and shameful thing that I've ever had to talk about publicly. There's a video that's out that's a compilation of me saying the N-word. It's a video that's made of clips taken out of context of me of 12 years of conversations on my podcast, and it's all smushed together. And it looks f --- ing horrible, even to me.

  5. Kristen Stewart:

I look at her, the pictures and fleeting video clips, and I feel the ground shakes and you don’t know what’s going to happen.
