    Arnold is a market town and suburb of Nottingham, England. It is to the north-east of the city boundary, and is in the local government district of Gedling. It has only had a market since 1968, and had a number of factories associated with the hosiery industry. The town has a population of 35,900. Today Arnold forms part of Greater Nottingham lying to the north east of the city and in the local government Borough of Gedling. Arnold is a mixed area containing both private and council housing. Areas within Arnold include Daybrook, Woodthorpe, Redhill and Killisick. Arnold town centre has a diverse range of restaurants and bars and a choice of shops including big stores such as Sainsbury's and Asda and small independent businesses.
