Wikipedia

  1. Vengeance

Vengeance is a song written and performed by Carly Simon and produced by Arif Mardin. The song served as the lead single from Simon's eighth studio album Spy. The single was a moderate success on the Billboard Pop Singles chart, peaking right under the Top 40 at #48. Simon received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rock Vocal Performance, Female in 1980, the first year to feature this category. Simon included the track on her two disc career compilation set Anthology (2002). Simon made a music video for the song, and MTV later used a clip from it in a commercial that enticed viewers to get stereo sound on their Television sets. The promotional clip was also chosen by Pioneer Electronics to be part of their first demo disc for its then-new LaserDisc player.
