Twilight Zone
Twilight Zone is a song recorded by the Dutch Eurodance band 2 Unlimited. It was the second single released from their debut album, Get Ready! in January 1992. The UK release of the single was the first 2 Unlimited single to include the vocals of Anita Doth as they had not been featured on their debut hit "Get Ready for This". However, Ray Slijngaard's raps were once again removed. The instrumental version of the track sounds different from the original version, with a more Hi-NRG style with more bass and added cowbells. The single scored chart success in many European countries and topped the chart in the Netherlands. Twilight Zone was the second single in a row to just miss out on the top spot in the UK again peaking at number 2. It was 2 Unlimited's biggest hit on the U. S. Dance chart reaching number 5.

The twilight zone is a region or condition of ambiguity, uncertainty or obscurity. It can refer to: 1. An area of the ocean located between 200 and 1000 meters (about 660 to 3,300 feet) below the surface, where sunlight barely reaches, making it a semi-dark zone. 2. The time of day just before sunrise and just after sunset, where it's neither completely dark nor fully light. 3. A situation or concept that's surreal, strange or difficult to comprehend, as popularized by the television show "The Twilight Zone". 4. In climatology, it is the middle atmospheric region of stratosphere and mesosphere, also called the 'Middle Sphere’, where Ozone is concentrated. In all contexts, it generally refers to a threshold or liminal space that exists between two distinct states or regions.

Twilight Zone
"Twilight Zone" is a classic 1982 New Wave hit sometimes also known by the name When the Bullet Hits the Bone by the Dutch band Golden Earring. It was written by the band's guitarist George Kooymans, who got the inspiration from a book by Robert Ludlum, The Bourne Identity. "Twilight Zone" appears on their 1982 album Cut. It was the group's sole Top 10 Pop single on the US Billboard Hot 100 and hit #1 on the Billboard Top Album Tracks chart, the band's only #1 hit in America. Lead vocals on the song are performed first by George Kooymans, then by Barry Hay who sings the rest of the song. Curiously, if the first 5 or 6 seconds of the song is played in reverse, the words "Sirens in my head, my whole life spins into" can be heard which are from two lines and chords later in the song. The full lines, "Yeah, there's a storm on the loose, sirens in my head" and "Cannot decode - my whole life spins into a frenzy" are partly masked because the vocal track is being played at a much lower volume than the reversed chords are.
