    Montega is a collaborative studio album by Moroccan-American hip hop recording artist French Montana and American record producer Harry Fraud, released on June 24, 2022 by Coke Boys Records. It features guest appearances by Babyface Ray, Benny the Butcher, Chinx, EST Gee, Fleurie, Jadakiss, Quavo and Rick Ross. The album is entirely produced by Harry Fraud.

    Spanish for Heroin... I personally learned of this word while living in Lawrence Massachusetts back in the early 90s. Montega I learned from my dealer who was from Puerto Rico. I am a white dude living in Spanishville and learned a lot.

    This is partially wrong; thus partially right. I too grew up in the hood in the east coast not too far from Lawrence, Mass (Providence, RI) and I also heard many Hispanic friends use the term "montega" as a Colloquialism for heroin.

    Now, the reason why reason why this is wrong is because this site is looking for the formal definition of the word, not the slang version of it. In Spanish, "montega" means "butter". Prior to hearing my peers use the word in Spanish I already knew what the word meant, because I'm Portuguese-American and the word "manteiga" (pronounced, almost exactly the same) means "butter" in Portuguese.
