Examples of Fukushima in a Sentence
Even in Japan, the image of Fukushima is largely affected by the earthquake and nuclear disasters, it is such a pity that we missed the opportunity to show the reality of Fukushima to people living outside Fukushima Prefecture and to the world during The Tokyo Olympics. I wish we could show that Fukushima is so energetic that we even forget the effect of disasters.
There are various factors. Nuclear power generation has restarted, pushing down energy demand. When nuclear plants shut down (after the 2011 Fukushima disaster), Japan imported lots of crude. Other factors include shrinking population, saturated status of automobiles and efficiency improvement.
A disaster like that at Tokyo Electric Power's Fukushima Daiichi will not occur.
Fukushima is a better analogy than Chernobyl, in this event, evacuations may be required for tens of kilometers around the plant, especially downwind. In the middle of a war those would be exceptionally dangerous.
Four-and-a-half years after the events started unfolding at Fukushima Daiichi, the Japanese government, the nuclear utilities and the NRA have not succeeded in overcoming complete planning insecurity for investors. The outlook for restarts is as cloudy as ever.
