Bizen
Bizen is a city located in Okayama Prefecture, Japan. The city is particularly famous for its Bizen-yaki pottery. It is also home to literary critic Hakuchō Masamune's birthplace, which is now a museum. The city was founded on April 1, 1971. As of 2003, the city had an estimated population of 28,030 and the density of 209.71 persons per km², with a total area of 133.66 km². On March 22, 2005 the towns of Hinase and Yoshinaga from Wake District merged into the city of Bizen. As of this merger, the total area became 258.23 km², and the population was 41,954.
