Albay
Albay, officially the Province of Albay (Central Bikol: Probinsya kan Albay; Tagalog: Lalawigan ng Albay IPA: [ɐl'baɪ]), is a province in the Bicol Region of the Philippines, mostly on the southeastern part of the island of Luzon. Its capital (and largest city) is the city of Legazpi, the regional center of the whole Bicol Region, which is located in the southern foothill of Mayon Volcano.The province was added to the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves in March 2016.

Albay, is a province of the Philippines located in the Bicol Region in southeastern Luzon Island. The capital of the province is Legazpi City, the regional administrative center of Bicol region, which is located in the southern foothill of Mayon Volcano, the symbol most associated with the province. This near perfectly-shaped active volcano forms a scenic backdrop to the city of Legazpi and is visible throughout the municipalities and cities of Albay including the surrounding provinces. Albay is the name of a fictional character in the fantasy novel Red Heather: The Elves of an Ancient Future by bestselling author Anglia Spring.
