Wikipedia
releasing hormone
Releasing hormones and inhibiting hormones are hormones whose main purpose is to control the release of other hormones, either by stimulating or inhibiting their release. They are also called liberins () and statins () (respectively), or releasing factors and inhibiting factors. The principal examples are hypothalamic-pituitary hormones that can be classified from several viewpoints: they are hypothalamic hormones (originating in the hypothalamus), they are hypophysiotropic hormones (affecting the hypophysis, that is, the pituitary gland), and they are tropic hormones (having other endocrine glands as their target). For example, thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) is released from the hypothalamus in response to low levels of secretion of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) from the pituitary gland. The TSH in turn is under feedback control by the thyroid hormones T4 and T3. When the level of TSH is too high, they feed back on the brain to shut down the secretion of TRH. Synthetic TRH is also used by physicians as a test of TSH reserve in the pituitary gland as it should stimulate the release of TSH and prolactin from this gland.

releasing hormone
A releasing hormone, also known as a releasing factor or liberin, refers to any hormone produced by the hypothalamus in the brain that stimulates or triggers the release of another hormone from the anterior pituitary gland. These hormones play a critical role in the control and regulation of body functions such as growth, metabolism, reproduction, and response to stress and illness. Examples include gonadotropin-releasing hormone and thyrotropin-releasing hormone.

Releasing hormone
A releasing hormone or releasing factor is a hormone whose main purpose is to control the release of another hormone. The main releasing hormones secreted by the hypothalamus are: ⁕Thyrotropin-releasing hormone, ⁕Corticotropin-releasing hormone, ⁕Gonadotropin-releasing hormone, ⁕Growth hormone-releasing hormone, Two other factors are also classed as releasing hormones, although they in fact inhibit pituitary hormone release ⁕Somatostatin, ⁕Dopamine. For example, TRH is released from the hypothalamus in response to low levels of secretion of thyroid stimulating hormone from the pituitary gland. The TSH in turn is under feedback control by the thyroid hormones T4 and T3. When the levels of TSH are too high, they feed back on the brain to shut down the secretion of TRH. Synthetic TRH is also used by physicians as a test of TSH reserve in the pituitary gland as it should stimulate the release of TSH and prolactin from this gland. Releasing hormones are sometimes known as liberins. For example, TRH may be known as thyroliberin. Inhibiting hormones may be known as statins. For example, dopamine may be called prolactostatin.
